Now that I've been at this a bit, I figured it was time to give all of you a guided tour (so to speak) of Chaos Realm 2651 and it's residents. I'm sure many of you are just dying to know more about us all.
Me (Sahm Lee): So of course let's begin with me. My name is Sahm Lee and I am the Realm's Chaos Manager. I am a 28 year old married stay at home mom to 2 kids. Besides running the Realm (online and offline) I help out at my children's school (where I went many years before), am an avid reader of a variety of authors I've come to love, watcher of all things snark on TV, sweepstakes junkie, and a bit of a social hermit (not by choice but simply by design). I'm always trying out new products (and some not so new) to help keep things around here running smoothly (LOL) and love sharing the information I've gathered with others. My main goal for writing Chaos Realm 2651 was to have a venue to express, share, support, and vent with others about the day to day chaos of life. So far I have enjoyed this journey and have no plans to ever stop. I enjoy writing about almost anything and everything and hope that all of you will enjoy what I have to offer.
Chaos Hubby (aka Slightly Used Techie and WOWhead): My darling hubby is 37 years old and works as a computer systems analyst. He enjoys playing World of Warcraft, making me crazy and being a dad.
Meir (Chaos Monkey 1): The oldest child. Currently 8 years old (going on 16) and truly a wonderful child (as long as you aren't her parents). Meir enjoys fashion, reading, art, making me crazy, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Wizards of Waverly Place, making her dad crazy, and a whole lot of other things (far too many to list).
Chi (Chaos Monkey 2): The youngest child. The first boy in many years for both sides of the family. Currently 6 years old (will be lucky to make it to 10) and truly a good egg (again as long as you aren't his parents). Chi enjoys Star Wars, making me crazy, Doctor Who, making his dad crazy, Torchwood, annoying his sister, and all things villainy.
Goddess of Doom and Gloom (aka GDG and Nanie) My creator, mother of 4 (which she adamantly denies even knowing us), wife of none, and provider of snark and scare for her workplace. The reason I am the way I am (all good I might add), why my son plays Sarcasm (I'll explain that game later), and why my daughter is Hello Kitty obsessed.
The Menagerie (aka The Furry Hoard): The many pets we care for here. While I may not write about them much I will share lots of pictures of them that I take almost daily.
So that's the basics on us here (I have more to share with you all later) and I hope you've enjoyed learning a bit more about Chaos Realm 2651.
Chaotically Yours,
Sahm Lee

Last Tuesday night a great tragedy struck the Realm. The chaos monkeys beloved Lightning McQueen cd player died. Some parents would secretly be celebrating such an event (one can only handle so much Jo Bros and Hannah in a lifetime) but I'm nearly as devastated as they are. Allow me to divulge why.
You see, originally having a cd player running at night was a last desperate attempt to help quell Meir's night terrors and later Chi's as well. Thankfully it worked and everyone was finally getting a decent night's sleep. We are currently hoping that they will outgrow night terrors but as of yet that particular tunnel remains dark and so the discs keep spinning.
About 3 years ago the Goddess of Doom and Gloom introduced them to audio books. They immediately fell in love with the ability to listen to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamil) and Captn. Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) reading them off into blissful slumber. A perfect solution to a new problem that had come up. The chaos monkeys had not only outgrown listening to music (at night at least) but also "baby" bedtime stories. Their approved bedtime stories had exceeded my vocal abilities and I was reading myself mute with each night's chapter. I was thrilled when I discovered that listening to audio books at night worked extremely well to tame the night terror beasts and so we began checking them out a variety of them from the library each week. Now, each night after hugs and kisses I hit play and my children drift of on new and wonderful adventures in the company of familiar voices.
So now I have the fun task of finding them a new cd player (before our emergency backup fails) to continue their nightly adventures with the literary characters they love and preventing the night terrors that threaten their peace.
